Our CeoI want the future to look different. Diala's motto:Reach to the world, so the world is brought to us. Diala's vision:Connect people with their values for the purpose of achieving their dreams. Diala's mission:Help people discover their potential and lead them towards a fulfilling professional life.
Diala's story:I went through many career changes before I decided to dive into college counseling.
Holding a degree in Civil engineering from the American University of Beirut and then a Masters in Management from the London School of Economics, I worked in management consulting for a few years and then taught Economics at the American University of Beirut. After seeing my students struggle at university with important decisions such as choice of major and career direction, I decided to change paths. After a lot of research and 3 years of going back to college benches, I earned my certificate from the UCLA extension in ‘college counseling’ program, with distinction, in 2015.
With my students, I favor the one on one model because it is my belief that this is what works best. Each individual is unique and deserves my full attention so I am able to extract their true essence and understand their uniqueness. This is work that impacts their life ahead and I owe each and every student my undivided attention.
Every person I work with is for me a reminder of myself from years ago, and I want to give them the chance to find their true calling and thrive later on in their lives, by choosing the right fit major and giving them the best possible chance to get into their dream college.
Our OrganizationWe make the future look different. UniEdge Counseling:Reach to us... so we bring the world to you. Our vision:Guide people in finding the educational path that fulfills them and lead them into their best fit college through a nurturing environment. UniEdge Counseling mission:Build a safe space where everyone gets to confidently choose their individual path in life and career.
Our story:Uniedge counseling’s creation was a product of disappointments, misdirections, lack of guidance, feeling of responsibility and lack of ownership of decision-making and exploration of new possibilities of our founder, Diala Turk Sinno.
During high school years, missing the feeling of safety and direction, Diala wished someone had taken the time to ask the right questions and helped identify the interests and strengths to direct her towards a career that matched her true calling.
She graduated from UCLA ‘college counseling’ program in 2015 with distinction and later on became a STRONG certified practitioner, in order to be able to attend to the needs of the students in choosing the right fit degree for them and thrive in their dream college.
Realizing the one on one model is unique and every student deserves full attention to extract their true essence and understand their uniqueness, this is the work philosophy she adopted. She gives her clients her undivided attention.

From basic steps to complicated and elaborate tasks, my UniEdge counselor guided me through this journey, and taught me lifelong lessons. She was a support, a motivator, an advisor, a guide but most importantly a friend. She pushed me towards my dreams and always brought out the best of me. I wouldn't have made it without you and I thank you for standing by my side this past year.

Kelly K, City University, class of 2022.

I decided to work with a counselor because I thought I wanted to pursue engineering in university but I didn't know which field suited my personality and my work ethics. After a few sessions with the UniEdge counselor who took her time to assess me, I realised what I really wanted to study in university and most importantly what suited me the most. I completely changed my mind and chose the business path. Each person has a certain profile and with counseling, you discover every aspect of your personality and you are sure to make the right choice for yourself. It is a well needed helping hand that ensures it will all go for the best in your professional life.

Josephine P, University of Warwick, class of 2022.

I worked with a UniEdge counselor this past year because, coming from a French school in Romania and wanting to go to a British university, I was completely lost and didn’t know where to start. I needed help in finding universities I could apply to in the UK and had some very specific criteria in mind but no idea where to apply. Her sense of organization and confidence reassured me from the beginning. She was very efficient and helped me a lot during the application season: together we came up with a great list of universities, she answered all my questions regarding the UCAS and provided a lot of support in brainstorming for my personal statement. She always made sure I was on track and sent me regular follow up emails to remind me of important deadlines.

Dana L, IE university, class of 2024.

After discussing with my counselor at UniEdge, I was able to find the degree that suits me best: Business Administration and International Relations. Working with a counselor really helped me turn my university application into its most convenient version possible. Not only was she helpful with the application itself but she also made sure other components of the application (essay, self-description, and other creative requirements such as creating a video or a prezi) highlighted my strengths and showed my best side. She assisted me as I was going through my choices and gave me her professional opinion, which allowed me to make up my mind regarding the university I wanted to study in. All in all, the challenging and often life-changing experience of applying for college was made so much easier and less stressful with my counselor's help.

Uniedge gave me the space to think about where I see myself out loud and helped me find the answers I was looking for. I remember walking in saying 'I do not know really know what I want' to walking out saying 'This is my plan!' I think everyone needs to have this conversation at some point in their life
